Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information DVD Screensaver Maker collects (very little), how it is used, and your rights as a visitor.
We don’t sell or rent your personal information for money. We do use Google Analytics and Google Ad Manager, which receive limited data (such as your IP address) as described in sections 3 and 4 below.
1. Information we do not collect
DVD Screensaver Maker does not:
- Require you to create an account or provide any personal information
- Upload your images or files to our servers — all processing happens locally in your browser
- Sell or rent your personal information for money
2. Local storage
We use the browser's localStorage API to remember a single preference: your chosen color theme (dark or light). This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
During video export (MP4 and WebM), we temporarily write the output file to your browser's Origin Private File System (OPFS) — a sandboxed storage area that is only accessible to this site and is never visible to other tabs or applications. These temporary files are automatically cleaned up when the export completes or the next time the page loads.
3. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns such as page view counts and popular features. Google Analytics may collect your IP address and set cookies to distinguish returning visitors. It does not receive your images or any content you create on this site. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser. Refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google handles analytics data.
4. Advertising
This site uses Google Ad Manager to serve display advertising. Google Ad Manager may collect your IP address, set cookies, and use device identifiers to serve and measure ads, including interest-based advertising based on your browsing activity across sites. Google does not receive your images or any content you create on this site.
You can opt out of interest-based advertising via the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out, Your Online Choices (EU), or your browser's privacy settings. Refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google handles advertising data.
5. Third-party services
We load fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser downloads a font, Google receives your IP address as part of a standard HTTP request. Refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle that data.
6. Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing stored about you that requires deletion or export. If you believe we hold any personal information about you, or if you have questions about your rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable privacy law, please contact us and we will respond promptly.
7. Children's privacy
DVD Screensaver Maker is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
